Butterfly Blue by Shulton: launched in 1971. Introduced as an aerosol spray cologne.
Soap, Cosmetics, Chemical Specialties, 1971:
So what did it smell like? It was a soft floral blend of wild honey and narcissus. It was described as having "the lift of flower petals, the scent of baby grass." It "leads with narcissus and has a background of wild honey."
Discontinued, date unknown. It remains hard to find.
Wild Meadow and Runaway were also introduced in 1971 by Shulton. Wild Meadow, described as a "moist green wind over summer flowers" is "a combination of floral lilies of the valley, forest violets and sweet grasses." Runaway, described as "sun-drenched, earth warmed, always promising," has sun drenched florals and woody overtones with a sweet amber base. These too, are discontinued and hard to find.
